She joined the Clark County Food System Council this last June.
“Over five years ago, after attending a seminar about nutrition, I have not looked at food the same since. To make a long story short, my family and I changed our diet and after having great results, we started a cooking/recipe blog (“Purely Primal”) to help others learn about food and how easy it is to cook at home. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. I love the idea of keeping food local and eating seasonally and so being a part of the Food Systems Council seemed like the next step to spread the word about our need to preserve land for agriculture in our community. I am a mom to two great kids. I love gardening, making fermented foods, and taking pictures!”
We thought it would be fun to start highlighting members from the Food System Council every week so that you could get to know us!
We are a volunteer Clark County citizen council made up of members that represent health, nutrition, education, food security, waste management, resource conservation, business, agriculture, food distribution, and the greater community.
